Mighty Glory

Jogfalls: The mightiest in 2006, 2007:

 

Jogfalls filled with its natural glory in the year 2006 when heavy rain lashed malenadu. This is year, there is no mercy. This year malenadu and other parts of Karnataka also witnessed heavy rain, even more compared to last year. Linganamakki Dam has opened its all 11 crest gates to release 90000 cusecs water, it was 60000 cusecs last year (2006). This is the highest water release after 21 years. It was in 1986, around 1,20,000 cusecs water released from the Linganamakki Dam.

 This time tourists never sat in their home, when Jog is revealing its mighty arms and glory. Those who have missed this time, has to wait for another couple of years to see the mightiest falls in India as this much rain will not occur every year.
